No dogs actually voted in the making of this ballot guide. The sticker is the official State of Colorado “I Voted” sticker designed by ninth-grader Cosmo Bell.
If you’re like me, you might have thought they brought back the paper phone book but painted it blue instead of yellow when your Colorado State Ballot Information Booklet arrived. Even my dog, Cora, who takes a bite out of most of the mail that comes through our 1940s mail slot, didn’t try to sink her teeth into that thing.
They say that dogs know things. But I’ve sunk into both blue books for my annual ballot guide. Agree. Disagree. You know I only care if you vote to the very end of the ever-loving 6 sides of democracy represented on your ballots. At least in Denver. Suburbs and out-state friends, you have important local measures too, but maybe you get to stop after 5 sides?
Please note all positions are my own and not affiliated with any employers, fellowships, spouses, kids or pets.
My Housing Webinar Event October 30
I’m nearing the end of my Bell Policy Center Economic Mobility Fellowship. Maybe you’ve read the Denver Post series, or two of the three academic papers released to-date on the promise (and limitations) of land use reform to impact Colorado’s housing crisis. But now is the time for you to join the conversation or catch up on anything you might have missed by joining our webinar! Please join me and guest panelist Melissa Mejia from Community Economic Defense Project for additional equity perspectives, via Zoom on October 30, over the noon lunch hour. It’s free!
Thanks for this Robin. Lots of helpful information here…
